ABOUT
Our aim is to design & build high-quality, sustainable products for the home. Using cutting-edge technologies like 3D printing and CNC milling, we manufacture everything ourselves right here in Illinois.
Our materials are carefully selected with environmental impact in mind: Recycled HDPE panels made from milk jugs, 3D printing material made from renewable resources like cornstarch or sugar cane, and real USA-grown hardwoods like Cedar & Walnut. We are a small family business run out of our home with the goal of having a positive impact on people through great design. Spring Modern was founded in 2013 by Industrial Designer Todd Herlitz of Volume Studio. GIVING BACK We donate extra materials and B-Stock items yearly to the Chicago-based Rebuilding Exchange, a nonprofit diverting building materials from landfills for repurposing and sale. We also donate lamps to Humble Design Chicago, an organization dedicated to furnishing the homes of families and veterans emerging from homelessness. |
